Waste Management Facilities By-Law Discussion Forum

The following recommendations have been proposed to be included as provisions in the imminent new Waste Management Facilities By-law:

  1. Weekly garbage limit of 6 bags per household at all transfer stations. 
  2. Annual bulk limit of 12 items per household at all transfer stations.
  3. Tractors beyond compact size (up to 60 horsepower, 54” width, and 6,000lbs) be prohibited on the premises at all municipal waste facilities.
  4. Trailers with a bed length of over 12 feet be prohibited on the premises at all municipal waste facilities.
  5. Tractors, oversized vehicles, and hydraulic lift equipment be prohibited from entering buildings at municipal waste facilities.
