Together CK (originally called the Community Partnership Fund) was established by Council in 2000, as a grant program using matching funding to promote community events within Chatham-Kent. Since its inception, the municipal grant program has leveraged in municipal investment into millions of dollars worth of community development projects and events, and has encouraged widespread civic engagement and community improvement.
Assistance
Groups who have not applied to the program before are encouraged to call the grant administrator at 519-360-1998 to discuss their proposal and receive assistance in completing the application form. The administrator will provide guidance in identifying ineligible projects, expenses or referrals to other grant programs. Timeline The program application deadline is Thursday, October 5, 2023. Late applications will not be considered. All applications are to be submitted using the online application form. Together CK invests in projects that help Council make a difference and have an impact on our community, by achieving Council’s “Areas of Strategic Focus” as set out in our community strategic plan—CK Plan 2035.
Funding Limits
Applicants can request 50% of a community project up to a maximum of $10,000. Or 50% of a community event expenses up to a maximum of $5,000 or $25,000 for a significant event.
All applications will be reviewed by the grant administrator. Applications that are eligible, will be forwarded to the grant review committee. The grant review committee is composed of public and municipal representatives. The Together CK Review Committee evaluates each application against a variety of metrics, such as the grant guidelines, priorities and CK Plan 2035 Areas of Strategic Focus.
