March1, 2024 9AM-12PM, Webinar, $25-35

What sensitives do you need to be aware of when you work with Low German-speaking Mennonites, and how can you find ways to reach them more effectively?

Onboard new employees or refresh your own knowledge of this unique cultural and religious group in the webinar "Who are the Low German-speaking Mennonites?" in order to lay the groundwork for more meaningful appointments in the coming year.

In this webinar, Anne Wall, kinship worker at Family and Children's Services of St. Thomas and Elgin, will give an overview of Mennonite history, highlighting Anabaptist roots and discussing the key beliefs which unite all Mennonite groups. Specifically, the presentation explores topics such as their traditions, their views on education, healthcare, gender roles and the impact of cultural and faith values.

Thank you for your comment and suggestion. We agree that we have a pretty spectacular waterfront. That is why budget time is the perfect time to reflect and evaluate the years operating programs and potential future needs.
