March 8 - Local International Women's Day Events
There are a couple of local events happening for International Women's Day on March 8th:
In the morning, take part in a Sunrise Celebration at 6:15am - 7:00 am, a Sharing Circle and Networking Breakfast 7:00am-8:30am at the Deshkan Ziibi Indigenous Hub (495 King St. West, Chatham).
Event will be held outside & in tepees weather permitting. Bring: Blankets/chairs for sitting & utensils for eating.
There is no cost for this event and it is open to people of all gender who want to celebrate women.

Join the Co, Women United, and Freely Co at Sons of Kent for a chance to chat with women from a variety of business careers. Drop by for a while or stay for the whole event.
The event runs 5-8PM. Capacity capped at 75, reserving tickets is recommended.
The cost to attend is by donation, with proceeds going to the Women's Centre.
There will be chances to win a door prize, and a draw for the opportunity to speak to the whole group (i.e. sharing a story from a personal or business perspective).
There will also be some free appetizers provided, along with a cash bar (wine, beer, soft drinks), and a full menu (with a cost).
