Community Forum on Homelessness in CK
You're invited to participate in an interactive community forum to continue the dialogue around homelessness in Chatham-Kent, Ontario. This event is led by Dr. Cheryl Forchuk from Lawson Health Research Institute and Western University.
The purpose of this forum is to share findings from our national Homelessness Counts study and provide an opportunity for the community to give feedback on our results.
There will be small group discussions in the form of breakout groups at each table to collaboratively bring forward what solutions been successful during COVID-19 and what still needs to be addressed.
Service providers/community representatives working with the homeless population, as well as individuals with lived experience of homelessness are welcome to attend this event.
**Registration is necessary to order adequate food. Please indicate any dietary restrictions or allergies through Eventbrite. Representatives from homeless-serving agencies are welcome to register a number of people without names for people with lived experience.
- Discussions will be audio-recorded and transcribed verbatim by trained research assistants and notes from table discussions will be collected.
- Please note that this forum may transition to a virtual format in the event of COVID-19 outbreaks or other environmental considerations. Zoom webinar link will be emailed to registrants.
