Black History Month - Flag Raising recap
Thanks to everyone who made it out to the Black History Month flag raising today! It was so great to see folks from so many different organizations and corners of the community.
For folks who were unable to attend, I am sharing some of the coverage of the event. Steven Cook from Josiah Henson Museum of African-Canadian History spoke about both some of the accomplishments and things to celebrate in our community and provided examples of why we still have work to do to understand and address anti-Black racism in Chatham-Kent.
