The Ontario Heritage Act (OHA) allows communities to designate three different categories of heritage resources:
A. Resources that have design value and or physical value (i.e. buildings that have maintained much of their original “wow factor” to this day)
B. Resources that have contextual value (i.e. resources that are considered valuable when viewed in relation to their immediate surroundings)
C. Resources that have historical value (i.e. associated with a historical event or figure)
Question: Do you consider these categories to be of equal importance or are some categories more important than others?
