Chatham-Kent Water and Wastewater Master Plan Update Study
The Study
The Public Utilities Commission for the Municipality of Chatham-Kent (CK PUC) through its consultant R.V. Anderson is undertaking a Water and Wastewater Master Plan Update Study. The Master Plan Update Study is being prepared in accordance with the requirements of the MEA Municipal Class Environmental Assessment for Master Plans.
The Process
The Master Plan Update Study will identify sustainability-focused water and wastewater projects to accommodate Chatham-Kent’s growth to the estimated full build-out scenario beyond 2051 while continuing to improve servicing to Chatham-Kent’s existing residents, businesses, and institutions. The water and wastewater servicing solutions will be designed to be financially, socially, and environmentally sustainable, meeting Chatham-Kent’s potable water and sewage servicing needs for the long term.
How to Get Involved
The CK PUC wants anyone with an interest in studying to have an opportunity to provide input, which will help the project team in the decision-making process. Public Information Centre's will be held to provide information and receive feedback.
Public Notices will be issued throughout the course of the study to notify stakeholders and the public of the project status, the Public Information Centre.
